Freelance Illustrator

Reports to:
Operations Manager

Description:

  • Lays out and draws illustrations for reproduction in reference works, brochures, and technical manuals dealing with assembly, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and software using various illustrating software including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Design and layout of print and web based documentation.
  • Must be able to attend scheduled meetings.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and technical writers.

Qualifications:

  • A high degree of proficiency in operating latest versions of required software. No less than five years experience with related programs.
  • The ability to accurately read engineering drawings and technical illustrations.
  • The ability to accurately proofread technical written material and technical illustrations.
  • Must posses basic mechanical understanding.

Other requirements:

  • Record time on various projects and submit this record to Accent on the 1st and 16th of each month.
  • Ability to follow Accent rules, guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to follow clients rules, guidelines, and procedures on an as-needed basis
